Privacy Policy
How Clarity House Chicago collects, uses, and protects your information.
Effective date: September 21, 2026
Clarity House Chicago ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website ClarityHouseChicago.com (the "Site"). We understand that reaching out about recovery housing is personal, and we treat every inquiry with discretion. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact form. When you send a message through our contact form, we receive the information you enter: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the subject you select, and your message.
- Phone and text. When you call or text our office, we receive your phone number and the information you choose to share during the conversation.
- Email. When you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting logs. Our Site is hosted by Netlify, which may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, as part of operating and securing the Site.
- Fonts. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts; your browser's request to Google's servers includes your IP address, subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Accessibility preferences. If you use the accessibility options on the Site (such as larger text or high contrast), your choices are stored only in your own browser's local storage and are never sent to us.
The Site does not use advertising cookies, does not run third-party analytics, and does not display ads.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiries, schedule conversations, and provide information about availability and admissions.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site and handle inquiries (for example, our website host, which processes contact-form submissions and delivers them to our inbox), and where required by law, legal process, or to protect the safety of our residents, staff, or others.
Sensitive information
Messages sent to us may include information about your health or recovery. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing through the Site; detailed personal and medical information is better discussed by phone during the admissions conversation. Clarity House Chicago is a sober living residence, not a healthcare provider, and this Site is not intended to collect medical records.
Data retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain reasonable business records, and we delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we receive. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- You may contact us to ask what information we hold about your inquiry, or to request that we correct or delete it.
- You may decline to provide any information; the Site can be browsed without submitting anything.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be posted on this page.
