Who We Are

About Clarity House Chicago

Building a foundation for lasting recovery through community, accountability, and support.

Our Mission

A safe place to do serious work.

Clarity House provides a safe, structured sober living environment where individuals in recovery can rebuild their lives through accountability, community, and personal growth.

We understand that recovery is a journey, not a destination. Our mission is to provide the support, structure, and resources that empower our residents to take the next step toward independent, sober living.

Our Vision

Setting the standard for sober living in Chicago.

To be a leading Chicago sober living home known for professionalism, compassion, and real recovery outcomes.

We envision a community where every person in recovery has access to a safe, supportive environment that fosters growth and lasting change. Our goal is to set the standard for sober living homes in Chicago and beyond — with dedicated men’s and women’s residences, each held to the same standard.

Meet Our Founder

Greg Zatorski knows recovery — because he lived it.

Clarity House wasn't created as a business opportunity. It was founded by a man in recovery, in the very house where his own story changed.

After years of struggling with alcoholism, Greg found lasting sobriety through the recovery community — then transformed his own home into the first Clarity House, so others could rebuild their lives the way he rebuilt his. He remains active in his recovery program to this day, and that lived experience shapes everything we do.

Our Philosophy

One day at a time — but never alone.

Recovery happens one day at a time, and no one should do it alone.

Clarity House offers a supportive environment where residents learn to live independently while staying connected to a strong recovery community. We believe in the power of structure, peer support, and personal accountability to transform lives.

Our approach combines the best practices in recovery housing with a compassionate, understanding environment that respects each individual's unique journey.

Many of our residents’ journeys begin with a phone call from a parent, spouse, or sibling.

If you’re researching sober living for someone you love, we’re glad to walk you through how the program works, what a typical day looks like, and whether our men’s or women’s residence is the right fit — before your loved one is ever involved. Every conversation is confidential and pressure-free.
